I'm Megan. I write songs for piano and voice. My music is both "avant-folk" and "boho-jazz" (Peter Hum, Fateema Sayani, The Ottawa Citizen). I'm excited and thankful to be writing music and performing on my own and with my friends. I hope to see you at my upcoming winter shows.
We're going to be broadcast nationwide on CBC Radio 2's Canada Live! This was a three part concert featuring Mike and I; Linsey Wellman (saxophones) and Mike as a duo and, Adam Duncan (sitar, guitar) and his friends. The broadcast happens Saturday, January 24, 2009!
I have two recordings to date, both with the Megan Jerome Trio. These recordings, This Uneven Pace and Unlonely, receive regular airplay on CBC radio stations across the country. Bill Stunt placed Unlonely in his Top 5 Ontario discs for 2004. Both discs have been on Top 10 Jazz Charts (CHLY, CFUV and CILU)...Thanks for playing us, and thanks for listening! I'm currently working on a third recording.
